Chang Jung-ku of South Korea stopped Japanese challenger Hideyuki Ohashi in the fifth round of their scheduled 12-round bout to retain his World Boxing Council light-flyweight crown at Seoul, South Korea.
Chang weighed 107 1/2, Ohashi 107.
It was Chang’s 11th successful title defense since he wrested the crown from Hilario Zapata of Panama in March of 1983. He is 32-1 with 12 knockouts. Ohashi is 5-2.
