The blood alcohol level of a wrong-way driver accused of killing four people Thursday in a head-on collision was .19%, almost twice the legal limit of .10%, the California Highway Patrol said. Daniel E. Murray, 25, of Lancaster was driving east on the westbound Ventura Freeway in Agoura when his pickup truck rammed into a car containing three family members and the girlfriend of a Buena High School basketball player, officers said. Moments later, the athlete, Jamaal Brown, 17, came upon the scene while returning from a game on the team bus. Killed in the crash were Ventura High School teacher Suzanne Brown, 37; her son Jonah, 7; her father, Jack Rawls, 69, and Dia Rae Rounds, 16, all of Ventura. Murray is being held without bail in Los Angeles County Jail for investigation of murder. A memorial service for the victims will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Ventura College gym. Surviving family members are establishing a scholarship fund for Jamaal Brown, who hopes to attend Stanford.
