Quarterback Jim McMahon of the Chicago Bears has experienced a lessening of pain in his right shoulder, on which he had surgery last Friday.
“He’s feeling much better,” said Dennis McLaughlin, a spokesman for Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood. “He has no fever and the pain in his shoulder is feeling much better. There’s no word on when he will be released.”
McMahon underwent a two-part operation for a torn rotator cuff.
