Duarte : Uses OKd for Encanto Park
The City Council has approved in concept the use of the proposed Encanto park as an “active” park with lighted tennis courts and parking for 126 cars. The estimated $1 million cost of the 11-acre park at Encanto Parkway and Royal Oaks Drive would be funded by state grants, the city and the Redevelopment Agency. Four types of parks--a sport center, “active,” “semiactive” and “passive”--had been considered.
