Autopsy on Fetus: A female fetus found wrapped in a plastic grocery bag near a dumpster had been stillborn about 5 1/2 months into the term of the mother’s pregnancy, police said Tuesday. An autopsy conducted Tuesday showed no signs of trauma or injury, police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas said. The cause of death will not be determined until toxicological tests are completed in several weeks. The identity of the person or persons who left the fetus is not known, police said. The fetus was discovered Monday by three girls as they walked behind a former Gemco store at 1330 East 17th St.
