Right-hander Dave Stieb of the Toronto Blue Jays, coming off the worst season of his career, has been told by two doctors that he needs surgery to remove bone spurs on his right elbow, according to a published report.
The Toronto Globe and Mail reported that Stieb has been examined by Dr. Frank Jobe of Los Angeles and Dr. Arthur Pappas of Boston.
