Driver Dies as Pickup Hits Culvert at Valencia
A La Crescenta woman died Wednesday after her pickup truck struck a concrete culvert on a curve near Valencia, the California Highway Patrol said.
Dorothy Burd, 24, was driving south on The Old Road at about 50 m.p.h., Officer Kent Buzbee said. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 8:15 p.m. accident, he said.
