Reports of blue crystals in the pipes of a Solana Beach apartment complex have led health officials to speculate that the drinking water may have been contaminated, county public health officials announced Tuesday.
The salt-like crystals were discovered at the Esprit del Sol Apartments last Saturday and could be linked to two cases of diarrhea reported by apartment residents, officials said.
The Esprit del Sol apartments are located in the 800 block of Stevens Avenue in Solano Beach.
