A Long Beach woman died after being hit by a tow truck in Seal Beach, police said Wednesday.
Claire Pendray, 52, was walking across a parking lot at the Rossmoor Shopping Center at 12200 Seal Beach Blvd. at 5:45 p.m. Monday when she was hit by the truck, Traffic Investigator Darrell Hardin said.
Pendray, who suffered severe injuries, was taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, where she was placed on life-support systems. Doctors declared her brain-dead Tuesday and removed the life-support systems, Hardin said.
Police are still investigating the case.
