Vande Berg Signs Contract With Indians

CLEVELAND —
The Cleveland Indians announced Monday they have signed free-agent pitcher Ed Vande Berg to a major league contract.
The left-hander played last season with the Dodgers, where he was 1-5, with no saves and a 3.41 earned-run average in 60 relief appearances.
Vande Berg also played four seasons with the Seattle Mariners, posting a 21-21 record, with 20 saves and a 3.75 ERA.
