WINTER SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS : Alemany Uses Tandem of Swanson and Lucid to Snap Losing Streak

Share

It was just like old times as David Swanson and Bill Lucid led Alemany to a 76-66 Del Rey League victory Tuesday night at St. Francis.

Not really old times--it had been only 10 days since the Indians’ last victory--but to Coach Joe Anlauf, those 10 days seemed like an eternity. After opening league with five straight wins, Alemany dropped two straight games.

But with Lucid scoring 24 points and Swanson adding 21, Alemany (14-6, 6-2 in league) snapped the losing streak. Lucid and Swanson, both seniors, have carried the Indians all season.
