Ronald Harris Ball, indicted on drug charges...
Ronald Harris Ball, indicted on drug charges last week along with 1986 Indianapolis 500 rookie of the year Randy Thomas Lanier, was arrested at his home in Pompano Beach, Fla., an FBI spokesman said.
Ball, 38, offered no resistance during his arrest and was ordered held without bond by U.S. Magistrate Lurena Snow in Fort Lauderdale.
Ball, Indy 500 race car driver and eight others, were indicted by a federal grand jury last week in Benton, Ill. Grand jurors charged the 10 in connection with an alleged scheme to import thousands of pounds of marijuana into the United States.
Lanier, 32, is being sought by police.
