The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals denied the National Football League’s request that it review last June’s three-judge panel decision upholding a $14.6-million damage award to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission. The award originally was made three years ago by a Los Angeles federal court jury that concluded that the league had violated antitrust laws in requiring the Raiders to seek three-fourths approval from other club owners to move into the territory of the Rams.
