Marci Drexler rebounded from a one-game deficit to upset Caryn McKinney, 11-3, 7-11, 6-11, 11-0, 11-4, in the Women’s Professional Racquetball Assn. finals at Los Caballeros in Fountain Valley.
Drexler, 20, of San Diego, seeded No. 2, received $2,400 for her first professional tournament win, while No. 1-seeded McKinney, 28, of Atlanta, won $1,300.
Heavily favored Lynn Adams of Costa Mesa, undefeated since April of 1985, was forced to withdraw Friday after suffering an ankle injury.
