NBA Roundup : Vincent Leads Bullets Past the Knicks; McDaniel Scores 35 in Seattle Victory
Jay Vincent scored 19 points as Washington reserves scored 46 and rallied the Bullets to a 104-98 victory over the New York Knicks Monday night at Landover, Md.
Vincent scored 11 points in the second half after Washington trailed, 53-47, at halftime, and backup guard Darwin Cook added 10. Manute Bol, another substitute, had 9 points, 7 rebounds and tied a season-high with 8 blocked shots while intimidating the Knicks under the basket.
With their two scoring leaders, Moses Malone and Jeff Malone, having an off night, the Bullets shot only 38% in the first half and trailed, 76-66, late in the third quarter before Vincent ignited a comeback.
Seattle 108, New Jersey 100--Xavier McDaniel scored 20 of his 35 points in the second half and contributed a game-high 14 rebounds at Seattle as the SuperSonics sent the Nets to their sixth consecutive loss and the 10th straight road loss.
