SAN DIEGO — San Diego State will attempt to snap a 12-game losing streak tonight when the Aztecs play Colorado State in a Western Athletic Conference game at 7:30 in the Sports Arena.
SDSU is 0-8 in conference, 2-18 overall.
“I’d like to at least finish seventh so we get an automatic berth to the (WAC) tournament,” Coach Smokey Gaines said. The Aztecs have eight regular-season conference games left.
The conference’s top seven teams will qualify for the postseason tournament. The eighth- and ninth-place teams will play to decide the final spot.
Colorado is State 4-6, 10-11. Forward Pat Durham leads the conference in rebounding with a 9.2 average.
