A 31-year-old San Diego man was found dead Friday morning after he apparently lost control of his car on an off-ramp from Interstate 805, careened down an embankment and was pinned beneath the wreckage.
The San Diego County coroner’s office reported that Larry Wallace Roy was found dead at 6:55 a.m. near the northbound connector ramp to Miramar Road. The accident is believed to have occurred around midnight.
A spokesman for the coroner’s office said Roy’s car apparently ran down the embankment and overturned. Roy was thrown from the car during the crash, then pinned beneath it. His body was found by passers-by.
The accident remains under investigation.
