CRA Approves Expansion of French Hospital
A $7.7-million expansion of French Hospital in Chinatown has been approved by the city Community Redevelopment Agency.
The proposed plan will involve the addition of about 42,960 square feet of floor area and construction of a 240-space parking structure.
John J. Tuite, CRA administrator, said the hospital site is designated for high medium residential and commercial use and that a special action was required to permit the enlargement. The nonprofit facility has provided medical services at the College Street location since 1860.
