Ram running back Eric Dickerson was voted the Daniel F. Reeves award as the team’s most valuable player, for the third time in the last four years, and quarterback Jim Everett was selected to receive the Carroll Rosenbloom award as rookie of the year in a poll of sportswriters and sportscasters covering the team.
Dickerson scored 11 touchdowns and led the league with 1,821 yards rushing last season.
Everett was the first quarterback to win the rookie award since it was first given 17 years ago. Everett started the last five regular-season games and the playoff game at Washington. He completed 73 of 147 passes for 1,018 yards and 8 touchdowns.
