Zola Budd, Britain’s South Africa-born track star, pulled out of her defense of the world cross-country title scheduled for March 22 in Warsaw because of injuries. Budd has stopped training because of hip and leg injuries. She said she may be ready to compete again at the world track and field meet in Rome at the end of August.
