Huntington Beach : Chairman Elected on Water Advisory Panel
Huntington Beach pharmacist Noble J. Waite has been unanimously elected chairman of the Water Advisory Committee of Orange County.
The panel, created by the Coastal Municipal, Municipal and Orange County water district boards, coordinates regional water programs. The cities of Santa Ana, Anaheim and Fullerton also are represented on the committee.
Waite, an Orange County Water District board member since 1969, said one of his top priorities this year will be to monitor the state hearings on plans to expand and clean up the water system in the San Francisco Bay-Sacramento Delta area and the effect those projects will have on Southern California water needs.
