UC Irvine Tries to Turn Tide Against Cal State Fullerton

Share

Times have changed and seasons have been overhauled since the last time Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine met on the basketball court.

On Jan. 15, Irvine upset Fullerton, 76-70. It proved to be a high point for the Anteaters, who walked out of Titan Gym with a 4-2 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. record, leaving the Titans behind at 1-3.

But in the month leading up to tonight’s rematch at UC Irvine’s Bren Center, scenarios have switched for both teams. Fullerton has recovered, winning five of its last six games, while Irvine has plummeted. Beset by injuries and inconsistency, the Anteaters are 2-6 since beating the Titans--0-4 in their last four games.
