A man was stabbed repeatedly in the chest, and witnesses were shocked with a stun gun during an attack in the restroom of a restaurant, police said Tuesday.
Alex Dupree, 24, of Orange was in stable condition with multiple stab wounds at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana after two men who had argued with him in the bar at El Torito Restaurant on 17th Street on Monday night confronted him in the restroom, a Tustin Police Department spokeswoman said.
As one of the attackers stabbed Dupree, the second man used a stun gun, which emits an electrical charge, to ward off a group of would-be rescuers, spokeswoman Terrie Robinson said.
The witnesses, who were not seriously injured by the stun gun, chased the two men from the restaurant, Robinson said.
The assailants were described as a 5-foot, 10-inch man with short, straight brown hair, about 35 and weighing about 190 pounds, and a 5-foot, 11-inch man with light brown hair, a mustache, 27 to 35 years old and weighing 160 pounds.
