Four Star International, Inc., which produced Steve McQueen’s only television series, “Wanted: Dead Or Alive” (1958-61), will give $1,000 to the Los Angeles Mural Conservancy today to help preserve artist Kent Twitchell’s 20-foot-high mural of the late actor. Four Star Chairman Alfred Markim will present the gift during a 9:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the 16-year-old mural, on the corner of Union Avenue and 12th Street. The McQueen portrait was Twitchell’s first of about 20 in Los Angeles. The gift--part of which will be used to support the one-month-old conservancy’s ongoing efforts to preserve and protect murals throughout the city--is the largest it has received.
