Share

The 6th annual Los Angeles Wine and Food Festival will be held March 8 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Ambassador Hotel, 3400 Wilshire Blvd. Culinary demonstrations by members of Les Toques Blanches International, an international chefs organization, and a wine tasting and competition are scheduled events.

The festival is co-sponsored by the American Wine Academy, a nonprofit organization, and the chefs group. Proceeds will be used to further public awareness in the gourmet industry.

Ticket holders will each receive an official voting ballot to be used to judge the various food and wine entries. Two judging categories will be designated--one for the finest tasting wines, the other for the most outstanding foods.

In the culinary category, samples of foods that are scheduled to be presented in the National Culinary Competition in Chicago will be available. There will be ice-carving demonstrations and an hors d’oeuvres display.

Tickets, priced at $22.50 per person, include admission, a festival wine glass, a program listing all participants and a ballot.
