Evelyn Hart, prima ballerina of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, danced the title role in “Giselle” to a warm reception from a Ukrainian audience, the Tass news agency said Thursday. Wednesday night, Hart was partnered in Odessa by Andris Liepa, a dancer from Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet, who danced the role of Albrecht. Hart told the Tass news agency that she had found the audience in the Black Sea port exacting, but that it had warmly received her. Hart, on a tour of the Soviet Union, is to take part in a gala performance in Moscow on Sunday.
