Moorpark College pitcher Dave Raper had a no-hitter for 4 innings Thursday in an 8-5 Western State Conference victory over host Glendale (0-3) in conference.

Moorpark (7-7, 2-1) hammered three home runs.

BASEBALL

First baseman Mike Kyander went 2 for 4 with three RBIs as San Bernardino Valley College (11-4, 3-1) beat Valley College, 7-5, in a Southern California Athletic Conference game at San Bernardino. . . . Mike Bible went 3 for 4 and hit two doubles as College of the Canyons beat Pierce College, 9-6, in a Western State Conference baseball game at Pierce.

MEN’S TENNIS

Nicholas Renard and Steve Glass accounted for three wins as Cal State Northridge (6-6) defeated the University of Rochester, 6-3, in a nonconference match at CSUN. . . .Pierce (7-1, 5-0) took over first place in the Western State Conference with a 7-2 win at Bakersfield (5-1 in conference).
