Lloyd-Turnbull Team Advances to Florida Final

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — Chris Evert Lloyd and Wendy Turnbull earned a straight-set, double-tiebreak victory over Betsy Nagelsen and Robin White Friday to move into the final of the $400,000 Women’s Team Championships.

Evert Lloyd and Turnbull defeated White and Nagelsen, 7-6, 7-6. They will face Lori McNeil and Bettina Bunge, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 winners over Elizabeth Smylie and Catherine Tanvier, in today’s final.
