The lawyer representing Brian Tribble, the man accused of providing University of Maryland basketball star Len Bias with the cocaine that killed him, said that there is “no reasonable possibility” that the case will be settled out of court.

Thomas Morrow has until May 25 to prepare his defense for Tribble. The case, originally scheduled to go to court earlier this week, has been delayed by litigation surrounding additional charges against Tribble.

Tribble is one of three men allegedly in Bias’ dormitory room last June 19 when the All-American and top draft pick of the Boston Celtics collapsed and subsequently died of cocaine intoxication. The two others, former Maryland basketball players Terry Long and David Gregg, had charges against them dropped in exchange for their testimony against Tribble.
