Robert G. Adamson will resign as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the San Fernando Valley Board of Realtors effective May 31. Adamson, 67, who has held the post since November, 1974, said he quit to have more time for himself and his family.
Adamson is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the 8,100-member organization, which has 57 employees and a $4 million annual budget. It is based in Van Nuys.
Adamson said the board has established a committee to find a successor, and that a selection is likely by the end of March.
