Bakker Scandal and TV Ministries
The article by Peter Kreitler, an Episcopal priest, was splendid. In it he pointed out how dangerous most TV preachers are with their messages of intolerance toward all who do not believe as they do.
The good priest reminds us that God has no preference except for the poor and oppressed. Instead of helping to solve the many problems facing our multifaceted society, these preachers ferment hate and use the pulpit for political gain.
It is unbelievable that these unlawful, divisive, and un-Godlike concepts have been embraced by so many.
Religion is not for sale and should not be treated like a product to be packaged as attractively as possible in order to appeal to the gullible.
