7 Left Homeless After Attic Fire Damages House
A fire in the attic of a house in the Mid-Wilshire area left four adults and three children homeless Sunday.
Los Angeles city Fire Department authorities said the blaze did an estimated $37,500 damage to the two-story house in the 1700 block of South Oxford Avenue, and also made it uninhabitable. No injuries were reported and seven fire companies were able to extinguish the flames in less than 20 minutes.
Cause of the fire was under investigation.
