CBS’ SUMMER SCHEDULE

CBS unveiled its summer prime-time schedule Monday, which includes original episodes of “Night Heat” and “Adderly” and rebroadcasts of two nine-hour miniseries in weekly installments.

“Master of the Game,” a 1984 miniseries based on Sidney Sheldon’s best-seller about 100 years in the life of a powerful South African family, will be shown on four Saturdays in June. It will be followed in July by four Saturdays of “Space,” the 1985 miniseries based on James Michener’s best-selling novel about the origins of the U.S. space program.

CBS is also planning an additional miniseries.

“Night Heat,” a one-hour detective series that stars Scott Hylands, Allan Royal and Jeff Wincott, will feature six new episodes at 10 p.m. Thursdays from Aug. 6 to Sept. 10. “Adderly,” a light-hearted action-adventure series, will air at 10 p.m. Fridays from Aug. 7 to Sept 11. “Night Heat” and “Adderly” currently air in late-night time slots.

The network also has scheduled an anthology of pilots for the 1987-88 season at 8 p.m. Fridays from June 5 to Sept. 18.
