Burbank Woman Slain in Carport

A Burbank woman died Monday after she was shot by an unidentified man, authorities said.

The woman, a Vietnamese in her 20s, was shot several times in the upper body at about 9 a.m. Monday and was found in the carport of her apartment in the 4100 block of Kling Street, Burbank Police Lt. Duane Dow said. She was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where she died.

The victim’s name was not released pending notification of her family. Police said they do not know the motive for the shooting, but that neighbors said they saw a man in his 40s leaving the scene.
