U2’s “The Joshua Tree” has proven deeply rooted indeed on the Billboard Top Pop LPs chart: The Irish band’s latest marks its fourth week at No. 1 this week. The Beastie Boys and Bon Jovi have switched places since last week--the brat-rappers’ “Licensed to Ill” moved down to No. 3 while Jon Bon Jovi’s crew saw its LP crawl up a notch to No. 2. Fleetwood Mac’s new LP, “Tango in the Night,” finally cracked the Top 10 in its third week of release, rising to No. 9 (No. 14 last week). On Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, the top spot went to U2 as well: “With or Without You” rose from No. 3 last week to No. 1 this week. Last week’s kingpin single--Cutting Crew’s “(I Just) Died in Your Arms”--fell to No. 3. Kim Wilde’s remake of Holland-Dozier-Holland’s “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” (No. 8) and Poison’s “Talk Dirty to Me” (No. 9) both soared into the Top 10, as did Atlantic Starr’s “Always” (No. 10).
