Although I am in agreement with the majority of the albums selected, it must be considered no less than a travesty that the Jefferson Airplane was noticeably absent from the list of the all-time 40 greatest albums (“Readers as Critics: Beatles Still Fab,” by Robert Hilburn and Jon Matsumoto, May 3).

By omitting what could have been the most talented rock ‘n’ roll band of its era, Calendar readers could be accused of “deaf injustice.” WAYNE SCHMIDT
