Orange : Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Freeway
A motorcyclist died Saturday from head injuries suffered in a collision with a car on the Orange Freeway, authorities said.
Rodney Carl Hosman, 27, of Yorba Linda, died at UCI Medical Center, where he was taken following the accident at about 5:40 p.m. Friday, according to California Highway Patrol and Orange County coroner’s office spokesmen.
Hosman was not wearing a helmet and was traveling about 65 m.p.h. on his motorcycle near the Chapman Avenue exit when he struck the rear of a car that had slowed down to about 10 m.p.h. because of traffic, a CHP spokesman said.
