Pomona Man Killed, Three Hurt in Shooting
A Pomona man was slain and three people injured early Sunday morning when gunmen opened fire on a group of people who had just left a party.
Pomona police Lt. Bela Lazlo said the victims were at the corner of 10th and Palomares streets when two men fired a dozen shots and fled, leaving Javier Valadez, 24, dead.
Javier Pina, 20, of Pomona and a 14-year-old boy were reported in critical condition at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, while a 16-year-old girl was treated and released.
