Fire Forces Evacuation of Boston’s Ritz-Carlton

BOSTON —
Fire broke out Thursday in the basement of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, forcing the evacuation of about 400 people, knocking out power and causing an estimated $600,000 in damage, authorities said. No injuries were reported in the fire, which authorities blamed on malfunctioning electrical equipment.
