Local News in Brief : Woman Dies After Car Strikes Utility Pole
A Canoga Park woman was killed when her station wagon hit a power pole early Saturday in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Deloris Ellis, 52, was driving north on Woodley Avenue south of Roscoe Boulevard about 2:30 a.m. when the car veered to the left and struck a power pole, Los Angeles Police Officer William Mulvihill said.
