A man suspected of being the “Camaro Bandit,” whom police have linked to 11 Los Angeles bank robberies, was arrested after his auto collided with a police car in a freeway chase. Dennis Graham, 28, an apparent transient, was booked on suspicion of bank robbery, said Police Lt. Bruce Meyer. A police officer initially spotted Graham at about 2:45 p.m. driving a Camaro west on the Simi Valley Freeway. When the officer attempted to stop him, he sped off. The chase ended with a collision in Simi Valley, but Graham fled on foot until he was apprehended by two Los Angeles officers and an off-duty Simi Valley police officer, Meyer said. Graham is a suspect in at least 11 armed bank robberies that have occurred since March 19 in which a lone robber fled in a Camaro, Meyer said.
