Santa Ana : Woman Killed, 3 Hurt Critically in Collision

A Santa Ana woman was killed late Saturday night when the car in which she was riding collided with another whose driver had been drinking, police said.

Coroner’s investigators identified the victim as Alberta Solorio, 20. Two others in her car, described by police as a 25-year-old man and a 2-year-old girl, were hospitalized in critical condition. Police withheld their names and said they were unsure whether the victims are related.

The driver of the second car, identified as Enio Sanchez, 23, of Santa Ana, also was listed in critical condition. Police arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.

The collision occurred about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar Street and St. Gertrude Place, police said.
