South County : Authorities Identify Truck Crash Victim
Authorities have identified a man who was killed Friday when a trash truck he was driving swerved off Interstate 5 and into a eucalyptus tree.
The driver was Raymon D. Cuevas, 27, of Huntington Beach, an employee of Dewey’s Rubbish Service, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Barnard. Cuevas was dead at the scene of the accident at Crown Valley Parkway and Interstate 5.
Barnard said Cuevas’ truck was traveling south about 55 m.p.h. when Cuevas, for reasons that are still not known, lost control of the vehicle.
