Redondo Beach : Use of Signs Restricted
The City Council adopted an ordinance Tuesday restricting the use of balloon signs and prohibiting advertising signs on parked vehicles.
Under the ordinance, businesses may use balloon signs only when the balloons are less than 18 inches in diameter and are displayed no higher than 16 feet. Balloons for sale on the Redondo Beach pier and those used to publicize community events are exempt.
The ordinance, which will take effect in 30 days, also prohibits signs attached to parked cars or trailers that are used for advertising or to direct customers to a nearby business.
