The man who shot and killed the mayor of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and wounded two City Council members after complaining about his backed-up sewer was found guilty of murder. The Linn County District Court jury rejected Ralph Orin Davis’ insanity defense and convicted him of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. Davis, 69, faces a mandatory life prison sentence.
