1 of 2 Winning Tickets Bought in L.A.
Two tickets, including one sold in Los Angeles, were big winners in the weekly Lotto 6/49 game, and each would be worth $4.4 million when presented for verification, a California Lottery spokesman said Sunday.
One of the tickets with all six winning numbers correct was sold at Maple Liquors, 10421 S. Western Ave. The other was bought at a 7-Eleven store in Oakland.
There were 12 winning tickets in the five-of-six plus bonus number category, each worth $102,831. Another 550 people had five-of-six without the bonus and would be paid $1,155 apiece.
In the four-of-six category there were 25,271 winners of $22 each and a record 352,916 picked three-of-six for a flat $5 payoff.
The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 26, 5, 9, 25, 13 and 3 with the bonus number 20. Sales for the week were $11.6 million. Next week’s jackpot was expected to be at least $4 million.
