Guard Walter Davis of the Phoenix Suns,...
Guard Walter Davis of the Phoenix Suns, who has completed a second stay at a California drug-abuse clinic, met with Sun General Manager Jerry Colangelo and Coach John Wetzel, a team spokesman said.
The meeting lasted more than an hour, but no details were released.
Davis, 31, is the principal witness in a grand-jury investigation that so far has resulted in the indictment of 12 people, including 5 current and former Sun players, on drug-related charges. Davis received immunity from prosecution for his testimony.
Davis has been mentioned in trade rumors involving the Suns. There are concerns that other Sun players might not welcome Davis back because of his testimony.
