Westwood : Extension of Construction Ban
A ban on construction and demolition in Westwood Village and two nearby neighborhoods would be extended for three months under a plan approved by the Los Angeles City Council this week.
Under a motion drafted by Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky, the council will order the Planning Department to draft ordinances prohibiting the city from issuing new demolition and building permits for Westwood Village and the north and east Westwood Village areas.
