Boston College--Army Football Game Moved to Ireland in 1988
The 1988 football game between Boston College and Army has been shifted from West Point, N.Y., to Dublin, Ireland, the second time each school will play overseas.
The game, originally scheduled for Oct. 29, 1988, has been moved to Nov. 19, 1988 in Lansdowne Road Stadium, which has a capacity of 53,000.
Each team has played one game in Tokyo. Temple edged Boston College, 25-24, in the Mirage Bowl on Dec. 10, 1978. Army beat Montana there, 45-31, on Nov. 17, 1984.
The teams are scheduled to play each other at Boston College next Oct. 10.
