Clippers Draft Reggie Williams
The Los Angeles Clippers, selecting fourth in today’s National Basketball Assn. draft, took Georgetown’s Reggie Williams, a 6-7 forward in college who is projected to be a guard in the NBA.
Williams earned MVP honors in the NCAA championship victory over Houston as a freshman and led the Hoyas in scoring in 29 of their 34 games last season. The Clippers then used their two other first-round selections to draft Joe Wolf, a 6-11 forward-center from North Carolina, and Ken Norman, a 6-8 forward from Illinois. As expected, the San Antonio Spurs made 7-1 center David Robinson of Navy the first selection in the draft.
